NTUFSA Executive board, Committees and their responsibilities
1. President & Vice-President
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the association, making sure that decisions and programs are being carried out effectively.
- Coordinating and helping to create favorable circumstances for implementation of the committees’ programs and plans.
- Acting as a link in between the university and the Association.
- Liaising with different student associations, Office of the Overseas Chinese, Foreign Students’ Association, university administration, management and staff regarding student concerns.
In addition:
- The President is available to respond to any enquiries from international students.
- Preparation of papers for meetings, attending functions and preparing submissions.
- The President and Treasurer must sign all financial documents for such documents to be validated.
2. Treasurer
Responsibilities
- Creating and managing the Association’s budget.
- Issue and renewal of membership.
- Coordinating and organizing Association’s financial records and ensuring those records are properly maintained in conjunction with the President.
- Responsible for custody of all records, ledgers, receipts or documents dealing with the financial affairs of the Association, the accounting process and receipts and disbursements, as well as the administration of funds and the preparation of all financial statements.
3. Secretariat Committee
Responsibilities
- Answering/ forwarding problems or concerns of foreign students to attention of other members
- Drafting semester reports
- Handling the database of past and present members as well as non-member foreign students inside NTU
4. Membership Committee
Responsibilities
- Recruiting new members
- Orientating new foreign students
5. Public Relations Committee
Responsibilities
- Managing interaction with different clubs on and off campus
- Handling extension activities with other public and private institutions
- Alumni linkages
6. Cultural Committee
Responsibilities
- In-charge of Taiwanese Culture immersion events
- Coordinating small activities that would encourage cultural understanding of different countries
7. Sports Committee
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating sports activities that can enhance camaraderie among members
8. Publications Committee
Responsibilities
- In-charge of compiling reports, pictures & write ups of all the events held by the club
- Manages the club’s webpage
9. Representatives
Responsibilities
- Disseminating information to members within their respective colleges and/or dormitories
- Representing their college and/or dormitories in NTUFSA meetings
*Each college and dormitory shall be represented by one member
10. Advisors
- Guide and coordinate the organization
